Are Counterly and SlabWise the same company?

No. Counterly (counterly.ai) and SlabWise (slabwise.com, SlabWise Inc.) are separate companies with separate products. The $99, $299 and $799 monthly plans are SlabWise’s; Counterly does not publish monthly plans. Counterly's pricing is tailored to your shop's volume. Where is SlabWise the better choice?

  • Your jobs start from a digital template, and you want one system from quote to saw.
  • You need DXF or G-code files for your CNC; Counterly does not export machine files.
  • You want scheduling, a contractor portal, e-signatures and deposits in the same tool.
  • You want to nest several jobs on one slab, mark defects and track remnants.
  • You want a rough quote from a homeowner’s phone photo before anyone measures.
  • You want published prices and a low-cost trial before talking to anyone.

Where is Counterly the better choice?

  • You bid from architectural drawings before the job is templated, such as builder, contractor or multifamily work.
  • Plan sets arrive as PDFs or scans and someone currently measures them by hand or sends them to a takeoff service.
  • A building repeats unit types, and you want to review each type and its quantity rather than measure every apartment.
  • You want a slab estimate and a priced quote from the plans, reviewed by your estimator, the day the plans arrive.

Can a shop use SlabWise and Counterly together?

Yes, they cover different stages. SlabWise’s own site says shops doing plan-based bid work use a dedicated takeoff tool alongside it. A shop could bid a project from the drawings in Counterly, then template, nest for production and cut in its shop system once the job is won. Check how each tool exports and imports data before relying on a handoff between them.

What does Counterly not do?

Counterly does not export DXF, saw or waterjet files, import templater files, schedule installs, take deposits, track remnants or replace field templating. Every takeoff is a first pass your estimator confirms.

Counterly accepts vector PDFs, scanned PDFs, JPG and PNG drawings. Use clear, uncropped sheets with readable dimensions and labels. A separate unit matrix can be uploaded as a PDF.
