What is a fabrication drawing?
A fabrication drawing — often called a shop drawing — is the piece-level plan the shop cuts from: finished sizes, seam locations, edge profiles, sink and cooktop cutouts, splash heights, and labels that match the nest. It is derived from the architectural or cabinet layout, not a substitute for it.
vs architectural drawings
Architectural plans give wall dimensions and unit layouts. Fabrication drawings translate those into stone pieces the bridge saw and CNC can run, including seams and edge callouts the architect never drew.
